Platelet-rich plasma is a platelet concentrated component from your own blood that contains nutrient rich cells, stem cells, and protein growth factors. Platelets are made in bone marrow. The main purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones, and proteins to areas of the skin that need it.

Platelet-rich plasma is produced with a small amount of the patient’s blood drawn by the provider and placed into a sterile tube. The blood is spun in a special machine that separates the PRP from the red blood cells. The PRP can then be drawn up and utilized in several different avenues. PRP is best added on to laser services such as Microneedling, Fractora, Cool Peel, and Tetra CO2 for a quicker recovery time.
